The body’s hand-brushed stainless steel
has been triple-pressed for a refined
finish and added durability. The handle is
made from thermoplastic elastomer,
which combines strength and a soft touch
consistency while handling.
The 1500 watt heating element is impact
bonded to a flat stainless steel cover
to shield it from water and maximize heat
transfer. The flat base ensures fast and
easy cleaning inside the kettle.
The transparent lid features an internal
gear-dampening system. This
controls the lid’s opening action and safely
staggers the release of steam. The domed
shape channels condensation back into
the jug and opens wide for easy access.

    This kettle not only looks good, it works well. Quiet, fast and well worth the $$.

    I love this kettle, but wish it would not discolour and turn rusty at the bottom. I have had to return my kettle to London Drugs and have just brought home my replacement Ikon Electric Kettle. Let's hope my first was just a 'lemon' and that this one will not turn rusty on the bottom!!! I await answers from the company about the quality of the 'stainless' and why this defect happens.

    One thing I have to say about this kettel is that it is so quiet and fast sometimes I forget to make my tea. It is really fast.....a full pot takes about 3 minutes to boil.
